Twamley Farm is a 7,000 acre, working farm situated on the Tea Tree Rivulet just east of Buckland. The original sandstone homestead built-in 1842 sits at the top of the valley and is a former home to famous 19th century Tasmanian artist and writer Louisa Anne Meredith. You can stay in our unique accommodation or come for an event or celebration. Day visits/functions can be tailored to your needs for a minimum of 10 guests.
Twamley Farm offers a picturesque and stylish country venue for bespoke events, weddings and celebrations. Working in partnership with Gert & Ted Gourmet Catering, we offer a range of sumptuous food and wine packages, tailored to your needs, in order to create a truly memorable celebration with your family and friends.
Wander amongst the historic buildings in and around the homestead, meet the farm animals or grab one of our visitor guides and maps and take a day walk or mountain bike ride on the bush hills surrounding Twamley Farm to discover some interesting old huts and farm sites. We have mountain bikes available for hire and can prepare a gourmet picnic for your day of exploring.
