About Makoto

Book Direct with the Owner at Makoto in East Sydney with Broome Tourism for all your restaurant and entertainment needs.

Masuya is situated in a heritage-listed building on O'Connell St St Sydney, the birtheplace of Japanese wool trade.
Masuya started in 1993. Since the intensive renovation in 2006, the interior décor designed by the architect Robart Toland has been delighting both Japanese and Australian patrons.
The design is inspired by the red colour used for stages of Kabuki, a traditional form of Japanese dramas. We named the colour Kabuki Red, and used it for the 5 metre long sushi bar, where the customers can enjoy more than 15 different kinds of fresh fish straight from the market. please enjoy your meals with hand picked wines served by somuliar Yuichi Kanamaru
and sophisticated atmosphere made by general manager David Kim and assistant manager Ayako Sugimura.

Had fun and enjoyed the food. It was my first experience with a sushi train. I watched my coworker grab and eat one of everything, wondering where she'd fit it all because shes barely 4 and a half feet tall and weigh under 100 lbs. I just grabbed some chicken and beef and then sampled some of hers. We'll have to do this again.
