Transwa is Western Australian government's regional public transport coach and rail operator. With a fleet of 22 new-generation Volvo-Irizar road coaches being rolled out in 2016 and four regional rail services, Transwa has a focus of bringing regional Western Australia closer.
With the high speed Prospector, the AvonLink, the MerredinLink and the refurbished Australind train, the Transwa network accesses more than 240 locations from Meekatharra and Kalbarri in the north, throughout the south-west region to Augusta and Albany, and the east to Kalgoorlie and Esperance.
Transwa offers affordable regional transport fares and also has special discounted day return fares available for destinations serviced by the Australind and AvonLink trains. SmartCommuter fares are also available on these services, offering a 35 per cent discount (conditions apply).
The AvonLink train service offers 28 services per week, including a Saturday service.
